The fourth India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable (ISMR) will be held in Singapore on Thursday, Singapore High Commissioner to India Simon Wong said, as the two countries prepare to review bilateral cooperation and explore new areas of collaboration.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology and Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada will represent India at the high-level meeting. The ministers are also scheduled to call on Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
Jaishankar arrived in Singapore on Tuesday ahead of the ministerial roundtable. Welcoming him, Wong posted on X that he was pleased to receive the External Affairs Minister for the fourth ISMR.
The remaining members of the Indian delegation are scheduled to participate in the roundtable, which serves as a key mechanism for advancing India-Singapore cooperation.
The ISMR is expected to review progress under the India-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership roadmap and identify opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The mechanism focuses on six broad areas - advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitalisation, healthcare and medicine, skills development, and sustainability.
The previous meetings have helped shape initiatives under these areas, which form part of the broader Comprehensive Strategic Partnership roadmap unveiled during Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong's visit to India in September 2025.
The fourth India-Singapore Business Roundtable will also be held alongside the ministerial meeting, bringing together senior business leaders from both countries.
Minister Goyal is leading a business delegation of around 70 senior representatives to Singapore, with discussions expected to cover trade, investment, technology and other areas of economic cooperation.
The upcoming meeting comes as India and Singapore continue to expand economic and strategic ties.
The fourth ISMR will provide an opportunity for both sides to assess ongoing initiatives, discuss emerging areas of cooperation and strengthen the implementation of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership roadmap.
The meeting is expected to further strengthen the longstanding strategic partnership and create fresh opportunities for cooperation in emerging sectors.
