Former Indian women's team captain Diana Edulji insists India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur should play her natural, attacking game in the ongoing Women's T20 World Cup in England to give her team the edge.

"Harman should stick to her natural, attacking game. Just go all out, don't worry about who is supposed to bat after her. Harman is at her best when she's attacking. When she's attacking, there will be no bowler to stop her. She should play her natural game especially when we've got a good start. She has to do it, there is no choice. This is a do or die situation," Edulji told mid-day during the launch of the book, Her Story, Her Glory, written by Aditya Bhushan at the Cricket Club of India on Thursday.

Harmanpreet has scored 36 off 35 balls against Pakistan, a nine-ball 12 versus Netherlands and 24 in 22 balls vs South Africa (which India lost by six wickets) in her last three games at this World Cup.

India will be playing Australia in a must-win last league match on Sunday and Edulji wants Harmanpreet & Co to go all in for the win. "We showed it in the [2025] 50-overs [World Cup] after losing three matches on the trot, we beat Australia in the semi-finals, so they will have to take that into account. In the 2017 ODI World Cup also we beat Australia in the semi-finals and entered the final. This recent loss against South Africa is a big blow to us, and that has put a bit of doubt into, going forward, because now we will have to play out of our skin," Edulji added.
