Beckham to get star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

England football legend and Inter Miami owner David Beckham will be honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame (a famous sidewalk in Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, which features brass stars engraved with the names of legendary personalities), organisers announced on Tuesday.

Actor Tom Cruise and Beckham's wife Victoria will be at the ceremony on June 12 to unveil the plaque awarded to him.

"Beckham's role in elevating football in USA and his influence on sports, entertainment, and culture make this honour especially meaningful," said Ana Martinez of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
