The Indian men's team lost 3-5 to Argentina in a second-round pool match to crash out of the semi-final race of the FIH World Cup on Monday.
Tomas Domene (33rd, 45th min), Joaquin Toscani (1st, 53rd min) and Nicolas della Torre (6th min) scored for Argentina, while Sukhjeet Singh (34th, 58th min) and Hardik Singh (60th min) netted for India.
Meanwhile, India women's team coach Sjoerd Marijne admitted nerves got the better of his side in their goalless draw against Australia on Sunday, which knocked them out of semi-final contention.
"It looked like there were nerves. We had no rhythm in passing and receiving, and there were a lot of unforced errors," Marijne explained.
