Former World No. 4 Konta defends Sabalenka’s outburst at reporter

Former British World No. 4 Johanna Konta defended Aryna Sabalenka after the four-time Grand Slam champion hit back at a reporter who questioned her about her off-court pre-tournament activities.

"I do think the question was slightly antagonistic. So I don't think there's anything wrong with her standing up for herself in that way. She would have had obligations to the brands, but I have no doubt that Sabalenka's priorities are in check," said Konta, in reference to Sabalenka's brand endorsement photoshoots which the reporter hinted at while questioning the Belarusian.
