GD Birla Badminton: Manoj, Mangirish, Naheed clinch double crowns

Manoj Nachanekar, Mangirish Palekar, and Naheed Divecha bagged double crowns in the GD Birla Memorial Masters Inter-Club badminton tournament, promoted by Badminton Gurukul and hosted by Bombay Gymkhana.

Nachanekar beat Rahul Bhuvad 21-12, 16-21, 21-18 to win the professional singles. He and Bhuvad then won the professional doubles, beating Kalpesh Pednekar and Sanjay Golbare 20-22, 22-20, 21-17.

Palekar and Vikrant won the 45+ men's doubles, beating Sushant Shetty and Vishal Manchanda 21-14, 21-11. He then joined Deepak Jaitley to beat Nigel D'Sa and Rohan Radhakrishnan 21-10, 21-13 in the 85+ men's doubles final.

Divecha won the 75+ women's doubles final alongside Aparna Popat, beating Palkan Dave and Shweta Thakur 21-13, 21-18. She then won the UNI doubles title with Shailesh Daga, defeating Bibhash Chatterjee and Rajesh D'Souza 21-17, 15-21, 21-11.
