‘I owe a lot of success to my kids’: Novak Djokovic

Trophies and accolades have become a regular occurrence for tennis legend Novak Djokovic, 39, as his career has progressed. However, the 24-time Grand Slam champion believes he owes much of his success to his children, Stefan (11) and Tara (eight).

In a recent interview with US magazine People, the Serbian World No. 5 said: "I had the most successful 18 months of my life after my son was born [October 2014]. A similar thing happened after my daughter was born [September 2017]. I owe a lot to my children. They teach me how to forgive, to enjoy the moment, and be playful with life." As he approaches the end of his career, the question of what's next is being asked more frequently. While he has yet to decide what the future holds, he feels tennis will remain a big part of his life. "I might stop playing at the highest level, but I will continue playing tennis [with my family] because I love it so much," said Djokovic.
