Mohit Kathoute netted a fine hat-trick as Western Railway blanked Republicans 5-0 in an elite men's encounter of the Joe Fernandis Memorial hockey tournament at the St Stanislaus turf, Bandra, recently.

Besides Kathoute's impressive performance, Harish Sidke and Ankit added a goal each to complete the tally for the railway outfit.

In another match, Mumbai Port Authority (MPA) beat UBI 3-2. Mari Rama, Shahbaz Khan and Stephen Swamy netted a goal each for MPA, while Santosh Bhosale and Kartik reduced the margin for UBI.

In a men's seniors fixture, GM Police beat Companeroes by the odd goal in three. Rohan Pawar and Arun Yadav netted a goal each for the policemen, while Pranit Naik pulled one back for Companeroes.
