Sasural Simar Ka co-actors – Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim fell love on the sets and finally tied the knot in the traditional ceremony on February 22, 2018. The wedding took place in Bhopal, Shoaib's hometown. After the "bright, beautifully and laced with love" wedding festivities, Dipika gave a lovely message to husband Shoaib. Proud and happy of sharing Shoaib's surname, she revealed her new name to the world and her fans, "I can see the reflection of Mrs. Dipika Shoaib Ibrahim in his eyes.. and its all I ever dreamt off!!! P.S. @shoaib2087 I love you!!! (sic)."

The two have tied a knot as husband and wife off-screen. Their wedding festivities, from the couple's romantic photo shoot in Sarson Ka Khet on a tractor, gave us a deja vu from Shah Rukh Khan's popular films, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Veer Zara. Shoaib and Dipika had left for Bhopal via train on February 18, with family members for their wedding celebrations. Reports doing the rounds are that Dipika Kakar converted to Islam before marrying Shoaib Ibrahim. In fact, rumour mills are abuzz that Dipika Kakar has changed her name to Faiza.

The television couple will host a grand reception in Mumbai's Sea Princess Hotel in Juhu on February 26 for their industry friends. Dipika and Shoaib have appeared in a dance reality show together. This is Dipika's second marriage. Earlier, she was married to her long-term boyfriend Raunaq Samson which went kaput.
