After releasing a teaser poster on Wednesday, co-star Anushka Sharma shared the first poster of 'Bombay Velvet' featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Johnny Balraj on Twitter today.

While unveiling the poster, Anushka Sharma wrote, "Welcome Johnny Balraj! Our first poster #BombayVelvet @foxstarhindi @FuhSePhantom" 



On Wednesday, makers of 'Bombay Velvet' released a teaser poster featuring Ranbir Kapoor that gives a sneak-peek into his look and character of Johnny Balraj in one of the most anticipated films of 2015.

In the look unveiled by director Anurag Kashyap on Twitter, we see Ranbir Kapoor holding on to a wire wall of a fighting cage, while parts of words 'Bombay Velvet' can be seen glowing in the background.

While revealing the poster, director Anurag Kashyap tweeted, "Give it up for the Big Shot of #BombayVelvet Johnny Balraj. First look out tomorrow @foxstarhindi@fuhsephantom".

Karan Johar, who is rumoured to be playing a negative role in the film, also welcomed Johnny Balraj a.k.a the 'big shot' on Twitter. He tweeted, "Johny Balraj from #BombayVelvet is here...."

'Bombay Velvet' is adapted from historian Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables'. Set in Bombay of the 1960s, the film tells the story of a boxer, Johnny Balraj, and an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie.

'Bombay Velvet' is slated to release on May 15.
