A determined 14-year-old Mekhla Ambekar of RN Podar (Santacruz, West) displayed exceptional skills and focus as she shocked top seeded Pooja Kachare 21-15, 21-17 to win the under-16 girls' title in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school badminton tournament.

In the boys' under-16 final, second seeded Aditya Desai of Utpal Sanghvi Global School (Juhu) defeated Dhruv Patel 21-13, 21-19 to emerge victorious.
