On Tuesday evening, an 18-year-old girl fell into a mine at Powai filled with water. Sources in the Mumbai Fire Brigade said that around 6 pm they got a call from locals informing them about the incident that took place at the Rambaug Khadan mine opposite Powai police station.


Speaking to mid-day, a fire officer said, "Search operation is on. We haven't been able to trace the girl yet. A team of the National Disaster Response Force has reached the spot to help the fire brigade. We can't say anything about how the girl fell into the mine."
