Daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and the late legendary actress Sridevi, Janhvi Kapoor is all set to entertain the audience with her first Bollywood film – Dhadak. The film is a remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat and is been helmed by Shashank Khaitan. Dhadak has Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter playing the central characters. Produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Dhadak will hit the screens on July 20.
Well, did Janhvi always aspire of becoming a Bollywood actress? Was mother Sridevi convinced with this idea of being an actress? Janhvi has revealed it all in an interview with indianexpress. Talking about the first time she spoke of her desire about being an actress, she said, "There were a lot of sounds. There was a lot of 'Aiyyo!', but I think she knew that the bug had bitten this poor girl."

When asked which other career Sridevi wanted Janhvi to pursue, the daughter said, "When I was a kid, she really wanted me to become a doctor. I don't know why, and I was like, 'I am sorry mom, but I don't have the intellect to become a doctor.'"
Further, she spoke of dad Boney Kapoor's reaction about her entering the world of glitz and glamour. "He was very chilled out. He is like a typical Kapoor. He was very supportive. He eased mom into the idea of it. He was excited that I chose to prove myself or do something with my life. Mom was like, 'I have worked this hard because I wanted my children to have it easy, so that they have a relaxed life.' But I think I wanted a fulfilling one. That meant much more to me. I don't think I would have been a satisfied person had I just lived off whatever my parents gave me," revealed Janhvi Kapoor.
