Two policemen were caught 'red-handed' while allegedly accepting bribe in Bhadrawati town of the district following which they were arrested, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials said today

Nagpur: Two policemen were caught 'red-handed' while allegedly accepting bribe in Bhadrawati town of the district following which they were arrested, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials said today.


Inspector Ashok Sakharar and assistant sub-inspector Shankar Choudhary, attached to Bhadrawati police station, had demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant to settle a case, a release from ACB office issues here said.


The man, who is in transportation business, later lodged a complaint with the ACB Nagpur unit, following which a trap was laid yesterday and the two officers were nabbed red-handed while accepting the bribe, the release added.
