Pakistani singer Atif Aslam recently announced that his father, Muhammad Aslam, passed away on Tuesday, August 13. The singer's father was reportedly 77 at the time of his death. Atif, who is best known for some of the most popular Bollywood tracks, shared an adorable photo with his father on social media along with an emotional note. Notably, Atif's social media accounts are not accessible in India; however, the internet is flooded with screenshots of his posts.

Sharing a photo where he is seen kissing his father on the cheek, he wrote, "A final good bye to my Iron Man. Rest in love Abu g." According to Pakistani media reports, Atif also urged his fans and followers to keep his late father in their prayers.

As per reports, Muhammad Aslam has been unwell for quite some time now. He had suffered a heart attack a few months ago, post which he had been ill. His funeral is expected to be held in Valencia Town, Lahore, following Asr prayers.
Several Pakistani celebrities came forward to offer condolences to the singer while mourning his father's death. Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of the Punjab province in Pakistan, also expressed grief over the loss, offering condolences and sympathies to Atif and his family in these testing times.

Atif Aslam is a well-known Pakistani playback singer, songwriter, composer, and actor. He is recognised for his powerful and soulful music and vocals. He has lent his voice to numerous songs in both Pakistani and Indian films.
He was born in Wazirabad, Pakistan and began his musical journey in the early 2000s, with his debut album Jal Pari, which turned out to be an instant hit. He debuted in Bollywood in 2005 with the song Adaat from the film Kalyug.
Atif was expected to make his comeback in Bollywood after almost eight years with the film LSO90's (Love Story of 90's). However, the renewed ban on Pakistani artists in India following the Pahalgam terror attack has stalled his association. He has previously delivered several hit Bollywood songs like Tera Hone Laga Hoon, Tere Bin, Piya O Re Piya, Be Intehaan, Jeena Jeena, Dil Diyan Gallan, Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein, among many others.
