Sunjay Kapur's property dispute following his sudden death seems to get messier by the day. According to the latest updates, a senior advocate, appearing for his kids Kiaan and Samaira from Karisma Kapoor, told the Delhi High Court on Wednesday that the will of their late father was not registered and also raised concerns over its sudden disclosure. The executor of the will has reportedly informed them that they are not beneficiaries of his assets.

Senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani chalked out the circumstances of the will as suspicious, noting that it was read hastily at the Taj Hotel and that the executor, Shradha Suri, herself only learned of the will a day prior. Jethmalani also questioned the involvement of Dinesh Aggarwal, an employee who reportedly disclosed the will to the family. The advocate called the act “beyond reasoning."
Notably, Sunjay Kapur and Karisma Kapoor were married in September 2003 and had two children, Samaira and Kiaan, before they parted ways in June 2016. Kapur later married Priya Kapur in April 2017 and had one son with her. The executor allegedly informed Karisma Kapoor that neither she nor her children is named a beneficiary in the will. However, the actress has been offered the option to inspect the will at Suri’s office.
Meanwhile, the children have sought interim relief while the court continues to examine the validity of the will and the circumstances surrounding its disclosure.

Karisma’s kids recently filed a civil suit accusing their stepmother, Priya Kapur (the third wife of Sunjay Kapur), of forging their father's will to gain complete control over his assets. The children are represented through their mother as legal guardian and have sought partition of the estate, rendition of accounts, and a permanent injunction against the defendants.
According to the complaint, the children argued that they do not have complete information about their late father's assets at the time of his death. They have also attached a schedule of known properties while accusing Defendant No. 1 (Priya Kapur) of hiding details and failing to disclose the full extent of assets. The plaint came up for hearing on Wednesday, September 10, challenging Kapur's will. The hearing challenged the validity of the will, which allegedly leaves all of Kapur’s personal assets to his third wife, Priya Kapur.
According to the children, Sunajy had repeatedly assured them of their financial security and future well-being. They claim that he had also initiated business ventures in their names, acquired assets both personally and through corporate entities, and named them as beneficiaries of the family trust.
