Bollywood veteran actor Jaya Bachchan grabbed attention during the INDIA bloc's protest in Delhi on October 6 after she appeared to swat away a reporter's microphone during a brief exchange. The Samajwadi Party MP was approached by a journalist while the Opposition protest was underway, but the interaction ended almost as quickly as it began, with Bachchan pushing the microphone away.

Jaya Bachchan swats away reporter's mic

The moment was captured on camera and soon became a talking point on social media. Bachchan’s reaction came as Opposition parties took to the streets in the national capital over their concerns regarding electoral rolls and the functioning of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
