Filmmaker Saurabh Varma's upcoming movie 'Meet the Patels' has been retitled as 'Solid Patels' to avoid clashing with a US-based documentary film with the same title.
The US based company Billion Pictures, which has produced a documentary by the same name, sent a legal communication to the makers of the Indian comedy film.
"We are legally sorted as our title is registered with Indian Film and TV producers Council (IFTPC) but we have chosen to change it voluntarily. We actually consider this notice as a compliment because this indicates that there is awareness about our film. The new&nbsp;title 'Solid Patels' captures the quirkiness and madness of our film," Varma said in a statement.
'Solid Patels', which recently wrapped up its month-long shooting and is in post-production stage, stars Ali Asgar, Shazahn Padamsee, Ketan Singh and Vaishali Desai. The film is expected to hit theatres April next year and the first trailer of the film will be released along with 'pk' in theatres.
