At the moment Ananth Mahadevan is busy wrapping up his upcoming film Gour Hari Dastaan, a tale based on the struggles of a former freedom fighter. The film, says the director, is on the lines of the incident that grabbed headlines a few days ago, as reported in ’86-yr-old told she can’t ride on bus with freedom fighter pass’. Incidentally, a couple of lead characters in Ananth’s film are portrayed as scribes from our newspaper. The film has been shot in the newspaper’s Parel (East) office.
