Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's bodyguard Shera offered his explanation regarding the assault charge against him. According to a report by Times of India, Shera denies indulging in a physical scuffle and claims that the altercation was a verbal one on the phone.

Following a complaint by victim Akhtar Qureshi, who accused Shera of hitting him with the butt of a pistol after a heated argument, he was arrested by the DN Nagar Police. The celebrity bodyguard denied getting physically abusive in his official police statement and stated that it was only a verbal argument.
According to further reports, Shera has been charged with the Arms Act, for allegedly assaulting the man with a gun and was levied with sections 326, 503 and 504 of the IPC. Four others may also face arrest along with him.
