The release of <a title="Kareena Kapoor Khan" href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/kareena-kapoor-all" target="_blank">Kareena Kapoor</a> and Sonam Kapoor's film <a title="Veere Di Wedding" href="https://www.mid-day.com/search/veere-di-wedding-all" target="_blank">Veere Di Wedding</a> has been postponed. Shashanka Ghosh's directorial venture was slated for May 18, but it will now hit the marquee on June 1. Producer Ekta Kapoor announced it on Twitter and wrote, "June 1 is one big day! Veere Di Wedding arrives on my nephew Lakkshya's birthday (sic)." Tusshar Kapoor's son Lakkshya turns two on June 1.
It is said that the makers wanted to avoid a clash with Deadpool 2, which releases on May 18, as well as the Indian Premier League 2018 matches, which run from April 4 to May 31.
