Adivi Sesh has expressed confidence in Dacoit despite its planned clash with Dhurandhar Part 2, calling his film a “gold fish” amid box-office giants

Aditya Dhar’s directorial Dhurandhar has created havoc at the box office. The Ranveer Singh-starrer, which was released in theatres on December 5, has been having a dream run at the box office. The film collected over Rs 400 crore in India in less than two weeks. The second part of the film will be released on March 19, 2026. The date was announced with the release of Part 1. However, the date has already been blocked for the release of Dacoit and Toxic.
Adivi Sesh on Dacoit vs Dhurandhar 2 clash
At the teaser launch of his upcoming film Dacoit, actor Adivi Sesh addressed the clash with Dhurandhar Part 2. When a reporter posed a question about sticking to the date even as Dhurandhar Part 2 is expected to recreate the box-office magic of its first part, Sesh expressed confidence in his film. The actor recalled that during the release of his film Major, it clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj in Hindi and Kamal Haasan’s Tamil blockbuster Vikram. He said they did not budge from their release date then.
"I would like to say the same thing I said back then. There might be many big fish in the sea but we are the gold fish."
Dacoit teaser
The makers of director Shaneil Deo’s eagerly awaited pan-Indian action drama Dacoit, featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in the lead, on Thursday released an entertaining teaser of the film, much to the delight of fans and film buffs.

The teaser begins with Adivi Sesh’s character having a conversation with an accomplice. The accomplice asks Adivi Sesh what he said, and Sesh replies, “I said they messed with you. So, what’s wrong in messing with them?”
This brief conversation and the short dialogues that follow give the impression that Adivi Sesh’s character has convinced Mrunal Thakur’s character to hit back at someone who has wronged her for some reason.
The teaser then shows both Mrunal and Adivi Sesh dressed as dacoits and embarking on their mission. It assumes a lighter tone with Adivi Sesh’s character occasionally flirting with Mrunal. The teaser turns fun as we are given a glimpse of intense chase sequences, confrontations, and gunfights that take place in the film, even as the hit number ‘Kanne Pettaro’ from the Hello Brother plays in the background.
On the whole, the teaser gives the impression that Dacoit will be an action-packed, fun-filled romantic entertainer.
