The show will showcase different traditional Hindustani khaana. Expect to learn to cook healthy versions of Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali and South Indian dishes, using natural ingredients. Through the show, Akki wants to send a message to the bachchas that junk food is bad, and should be avoided. Like dad, like son The fitness-conscious star stays away from fast food like hamburgers and chips. The actor and his wife Twinkle have inculcated healthy eating habits in their six-year-old son Aarav as well. He also believes in healthy food like his dad. Reveals Akki's close friend, "Aarav eats simple, home cooked, non-spicy, oil-free food." Says a source, "During the shoot of Masterchef, Akshay revealed his love for desi food and how he relishes eating biryanis, tandoori chicken and parathas with his hands. He believes that everyone'su00a0-- especially kidsu00a0-- obsessed with junk food and in the bargain, miss out on tasting some great Indian dishes. He feels that children are ruining their health with western junk food that are high in calories and cholesterol but lack nutrients." The actor plans to introduce healthy Indian cooking through the show by cooking a few dishes himself. "Akki was a chef at one time and cooking is very important to him. Being a health freak, he knows which dish to cook and make it tasty yet healthy. That's another reason he's doing this show. While he is offered many shows he takes up only those which he can relate to (like Khatron Ke Khiladi was about action). To him, it's not just a job but something he puts his heart and soul into (and he loves cooking)." Tina's the stylist Ab bhi biwi ki sunoon?
