Whether you are a Gen Z, Gen Alpha or a millennial, chances are you have heard the song Ghar Kab Aaoge at least once in your life. Now, the makers of the upcoming film Border 2 are set to revive the 90s nostalgia by bringing back the epic song. The makers of Sunny Deol-starrer unveiled the teaser of the song 'Ghar Kab Aaoge' on Monday and it has already made fans nostalgic. The song features singers Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh.
Ghar Kab Aaoge to make a comeback
The song is based on the original version composed by Anu Malik. For Border 2, the music has been recreated by Mithoon. The lyrics include additional lines written by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, along with the OG lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The teaser indicates that the song focuses on emotions associated with soldiers and their families waiting for them to return home. The full version of the song will be released on January 2, 2026. The song will be launched at a special event in Longewala-Tanot, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Border 2 film teaser
The film's teaser was unveiled earlier this month, on the occasion of Vijay Diwas, giving fans a first look at the action-packed war drama. Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the teaser showcases intense battle sequences and the courage of Indian soldiers who fought to defend the nation.
The teaser offers a commanding glimpse of the four leading men, Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, as they step into their respective roles across the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force, each introduced in moments charged with valour, intensity and purpose.
The video is laced with Sunny Deol’s iconic battle-scared avatar, Varun’s fierce intensity on duty, Diljit’s raw strength and determination in the middle of conflict and Ahan’s courage and grit as he takes on the war head-on.
With battalions advancing, naval fleets cutting through the seas and fighter jets tearing across the skies, underscored by a rousing background score of the song ‘Hindustan Meri Jaan’ that heightens the emotion.
The clip ends with Sunny saying, "‘Aawaz kaha tak jaani chahiye?" to which "Lahore tak!" can be heard in response.
