'MSG: The Messenger of God' has got the Indian Censor Board's clearance and the film is set to hit the theatres on February 13. Aditya Insaan, spokesperson for 'MSG' said, "We have been told go ahead and announce the release date which we have done. We have been told the Censor Certificate will be issued to us before the release date."

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's film will be clashing with Ranbir Kapoor's 'Roy' and Mallika Sherawat's 'Dirty Politics' on February 13. The film is expected to release in 4,000 screens.
The producers were promised a Censor Certificate after they re-submitted the film with the necessary changes asked by the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal. The Tribunal cleared the film on January 15 with U certificate after insertions of two disclaimers and two dialogue mutes. The producers re-submitted the film's CD on January 21 but the CBFC refused certification as proper changes were not made.
The film was once again submitted last Friday with the necessary changes after which CBFC asked the producers to announce the release date. A source said, "The CC may be issued to them after the Delhi elections."
'MSG' was first rejected by the Examining Committee that felt that Ram Rahim Singh was performing miracles without substantiating them. The EC also felt it was more of a self-promoting film. The film was referred to the Revising Committee which again decided against clearing the film. The RC referred the film to the Tribunal as they felt the film may cause law and order problem. Besides, the film also promotes superstition and blind faith which may hurt religious sentiments.
The Tribunal, which watched the film in New Delhi on January 15, cleared it within 24 hours of submission.
