Actress Daisy Shah who started her career as a choreographer before landing her big break opposite Salman Khan in ‘Jai Ho’ caught up with mid-day.com, on ‘World Dance Day.’

What were your days as a choreographer like?

There was no formal dance training in my case. All I did was participate in inter- school dance competitions and annul day functions, during my school days. I got better with dancing and expanded my knowledge on the job, as a dance assistant. I think learning through the entire process is the biggest memory that cherish!

How did your interest in dance develop?
I had different plans, my family had different plans for me and then there’s destiny. I don’t do things half-heartedly, either do it or don’t do it at all. I always enjoyed dancing hence the interest was always there. It’s a way to express yourself and a stress buster.

Which are your favourite forms of dance?
As I don’t have formal training in any form of dancing, I would say 'Bollywood,' also known as the cocktail of all dance forms.
