Sunny Deol celebrated the resounding success of his film, 'Gadar 2', with a star-studded bash in Mumbai on Saturday night. The guest list boasted big names from Bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, and Vicky Kaushal, among others.

Fresh from the pre-release events of 'Jawan', Shah Rukh Khan made a stylish entry with Gauri. The duo was spotted hand in hand, with Shah Rukh dressed in a black t-shirt paired with a grey jacket and cargo pants, and Gauri in a chic black jumpsuit topped with a monochrome jacket. Though the power couple chose not to pose for photographs, they acknowledged the media with smiles and waves.

In a heartening moment captured on film, Shah Rukh Khan posed with 'Tara Singh' Sunny Deol for photographs and the two even shared a warm hug. Following the release of 'Gadar 2,' Shah Rukh Khan had told his fan following that he had loved watching the film. The two had been co-stars in the film 'Darr,' where Sunny had not had a good experience on set.

In a throwback interview with Filmfare, Sunny called Darr the worst experience of his life. "If I were to start my career again, I would avoid a mistake called 'Darr'. The making of the film was the worst experience of my life. I was sick of the manipulations and lies. One day in Switzerland, I was so angry that when I stuffed my hands into the pockets, I ripped the jeans I was wearing," he said.

A few years later, Sunny shared in an interview on Aap Ki Adalat that he had disagreements with the director regarding the scene where Shah Rukh's character stabs him. "I had a heated discussion with Yash Chopra regarding that scene. I tried explaining that I am a commando officer in the film. My character is an expert and fit, then how can this boy beat me easily? He can beat me if I can’t see him. If he can stab me while I am looking at him, then I won’t be called a commando. Soon, out of anger, I didn’t even realise that I had ripped my pants with my hands,” he added.

Owing to disagreements, Sunny and Shah Rukh weren't on talking terms for 16 years after Darr. "It’s not that I didn’t talk but I just cut myself off and I anyway don’t socialise much. So we never met, toh baat karne ki baat he nahi hai,” he shared.

That Sunny and Shah Rukh were amicably captured in the same frame indicates that the differences between them have been resolved. Sunny even revealed that SRK had called to congratulate him on his Gadar box-office hit and to go over their history.

The success party also saw other major figures from tinsel town including Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Abhishekh Bachchan and Kartik Aaryan.
