The Baweja home is like a typical Punjabi home, bustling with assorted uncles, aunts and cousins. Hurman is close to all the people in his clan; especially from the maternal side, who reside in Mumbai. The actor recently lost his maama (mom's brother) in an accident. His mother was finding it difficult to cope with the untimely loss and was on the brink of depression.

She protested saying she needed to be around family and friends, but he would have none of it.u00a0 He forced her to bag her bags and even drove his parents to the airport. Pammi kept crying all the way to the airport, and kept complaining about being sent away and Hurman told her that it was for her own good. Pammi and Harry started their trip in New York City and then moved to Las Vegas and eventually ended their month-long holiday in Los Angeles. Harman tries to brush the whole thing off by saying,u00a0 "It was just a holiday, yaar. You know right moms never like to spend money, no? So I planned a trip for her. I have relatives in the States and I thought the change would be good for her. In the five-odd weeks that she was away, she went andu00a0 met each and every relative that she had in America. She is back from the States and right now, is in Delhi. She will be back to Mumbai soon. Dad accompanied her for the first half of the trip in the States but he had to return as he had some pending work here."
