The freedom to feed
Neha Dhupia let out a message for those who oppose nursing in public. They feel it’s not decent for a woman to expose her breasts to feed a child. The actor shared a picture of herself breastfeeding her son and captioned it, “Freedom to feed.” Dhupia and actor husband Angad Bedi welcomed their second child on October 3. Their first-born, daughter Mehr, turns three next month.
Raj Kaushal’s last directorial venture, Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar, will release digitally on November 3. The filmmaker passed away in June. Wife Mandira Bedi shared, “When a great idea would hit him, there would be a sparkle in his eye and a spring in his step. He had that unabating energy all through the writing and making of the show. It breaks my heart that he can’t see his labour of love, but I am thankful to Amazon Prime Video for seeing it through.” The crime series stars Vicky Arora, Anuj Rampal, Swati Semwal and Mohan Agashe.
Beyond the comfort zone
Akanksha Sharma features in the music video of Badshah’s latest song, Jugnu. The rapper, who has collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, says he has stepped out of his comfort zone for the track. “Everything out there is worth exploring, worth trying, worth a failure, if at all there is,”

Bhumi with Raj
Bhumi Pednekar will team up with Rajkummar Rao in Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed. “Being part of an Anubhav Sinha film is a matter of honour and privilege. He shares my value system in believing that movies have the power to shift mindsets. As artistes, the responsibility of telling such stories lies with us. This is a crackling subject, and I can’t wait to get on to it,” says Pednekar. The film rolls next month in Lucknow. Rao and Pednekar also share screen space in the upcoming Badhaai Do.

A blooming good time
R Balki has finished shooting Chup — Revenge of the Artist. Shreya Dhanwanthary, who features in the psychological thriller alongside Dulquer Salmaan, posted photos from the completion party on the set. Salmaan cut the “the wrap-up cake” with team members. For the unit it may be a job done, but none of Balki’s films are complete without Amitabh Bachchan being part of them in some capacity. Chup, which also stars Sunny Deol and Pooja Bhatt, has a florist shop integral to the plot. That’s where the twists and turns bloom in the film.
