A rising budget
After the historic success of Dhurandhar (2025), Ranveer Singh is gearing up for Pralay, a high concept zombie drama set during the COVID-19 pandemic and directed by Jai Mehta. Mounted on an estimated Rs 300 crore budget, it marks his most expensive standalone project. A source told Pinkvilla, “Ranveer has entered into a backend profit sharing deal and is involved in every stage, from script development to VFX planning.” The movie is expected to go on floors in mid-2026. The development comes days after the actor reportedly received a death threat demanding Rs 10 crore, with police tightening security.
