Jasbir Jassi: I reject Bollywood songs for their lyrics

Popular singer Jasbir Jassi also urged the government to play 40 to 50 per cent classical, indie, folk music on television and radio, as well as to develop a "culture policy"

Popular singer Jasbir Jassi, known for songs like "Dil le gayi kudi Gujarat di" and "Laung da lashkara", says he now rejects offers to sing Bollywood numbers due to their double meaning lyrics. Jassi visited the Hungama office for a special meet-and-greet session called Hungama Spotlight, where he launched and celebrated his latest single with DJ Shaan titled "Bulleya", read a statement.
