Post the song, she moved to the southern film industry. &quot;After &#39;Khatta Meetha&#39;, I didn&#39;t want to do any item songs. I was getting calls from big films, but I didn&#39;t want to be typecast. I was only getting offers for songs. I did a song with Ajith Kumar (in &#39;Mankatha&#39;). I thought it would better to do a song with Ajith Kumar as he is a big name down south. &quot;Also, I did a song for a Malayalam film. When I came back, I was sure that I would rather wait than do a song,&quot; she said. Her patience paid off as she bagged a role in &#39;Grand Masti&#39;, in which she is paired with Vivek Oberoi. &quot;Then &#39;Grand Masti&#39; happened. After the film got over, I got a call from T-series. I thought &#39;Grand Masti&#39; is coming and that link (of only doing item numbers) will break,&quot; she said. &#39;Grand Masti&#39;, an adult comedy, is coming out on September 6.
