Madhur turns down offer to show his films at Pak film festival

Pakistan producer Sevy Ali has approached Madhur Bhandar-kar to screen his movies at the Indo-Pak Film Festival in Pakistan this March.

Given the current hostile situation between the two neighboring countries, Madhur has refused the offer.

A source reveals, "Last year Madhur had been approached by the Karachi Film Festival and he had kept away at the time as well. This year too, the director, who thrives on realistic cinema has been asked to be a part of the festival in March.

However, Bhandarkar isn't showing any interest for the same. And given the current scenario between the two nations, he is more keen to stay away."

A source close to Madhur reveals, "Madhur doesn't want to be part of any festival associated to Pakistan." His films have been showcased in Berlin, Moscow, LA, and Indian Film Festival.u00a0

Ali confirms, "I've approached Madhur to showcase his movies in the festival. But the festival is currently on hold due to the current situation between the countries. It is yet in the preliminary stages."
