Apparently, husband Raj Kundra footed the bill... no wonder she wore so much bling!<br /><br />Shilpa Shetty's mehendi was done by Veena Nagda, who has applied henna to several B-Town brides. Says Veena, "A week before the ceremony, Shilpa selected the design. <br /><br />She wanted a peacock, Lakshmi and Ganpati on her hands. But I told her we don't do figures of Gods on hands as it is disrespectful.<br />u00a0<br />She said she was going to Raj's house as the Lakshmi of his home, so she wanted certain symbols. <br /><br />Instead, I designed Ganpatiji's garland on the back of her palm and in the front kept a lotus and peacock.<br /><br />Shilpa wanted a 'R' and 'S' entwined but finally we kept only 'S'. Shilpa's mehndi took more than two hours to get done. She didn't want it to be removed during the sangeet as she felt the colour would go."<br /><br />
