Nushrratt Bharuccha isolates herself after co-star Akshay Kumar tests positive for COVID-19

A source close to the actress revealed, "Nushrratt is relieved that she has tested negative and there is nothing to worry about."

Nushrratt Bharuccha is on a spree of filming movies back to back, recently on the sets of Ram Setu, the actress was shooting alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshay Kumar. After her co-star Akshay Kumar tested positive for COVID-19, the actress isolated herself too. A source close to the actress revealed, "Nushrratt is relieved that she has tested negative and there is nothing to worry about. Still she is continuing to take all the precautions necessary to keep best health for when the shoot resumes."


Talking of the film, another source recently stated, "Nushrratt has been working on Ram Setu with full force, and has been working on her character personally. This is a very exciting time for her, as she is fully immersing herself in work, and putting out her 'A' game forward." 


It will surely be a sight to behold to watch Nushrratt and Akshay, gracing the silver screen together for the first time. Basking in the glory of her much-loved avtar from latest Diwali release 'Chhalaang', Nushrratt's character from 'Ram Setu' is much awaited. 


This will be the first time Nushrratt will be seen sharing screen space with Akshay, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez. The trio will be playing a pivotal role in Ram Setu, which is directed by Abhishek Sharma and is produced by Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra. A major portion of the film will be shot in Mumbai.

On the other hand, Nushrratt Bharuccha is also a part of the anthology Ajeeb Daastaans, featuring four films directed by Shashank Khaitan, Raj Mehta, Neeraj Ghaywan and Kayoze Irani, is all set to premiere digitally on April 16.

Produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, Ajeeb Daastaans features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Abhishek Banerjee, Inayat Verma, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shefali Shah, Manav Kaul and Tota Roy Chowdhury.
