Following Rajpal Yadav's surrender in Tihar jail and emotional statement where he claimed having no friends in the industry, several celebrities have now stepped forward to help the actor. This comes after he was sent to Tihar Jail in connection with a Rs 9 crore debt and cheque bounce case. Actor Sonu Sood was among the first to urge Bollywood to come forward and help Rajpal. Now, in an interview, the actor’s manager has revealed that several A-list celebrities have extended their support.

Rajpal Yadav reveals Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Varun Dhawan helped him

During an interview with Screen, Rajpal Yadav’s manager, Goldie, stated, “A lot of people have reached out to help Rajpal Yadav. Actors like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have extended their support. I was just on a call with David Dhawan; he too reached out. Ratan Jain, Varun Dhawan… many people are coming forward to help him this time, which Rajpal has deeply appreciated.”

Although he refused to comment if the actor had reached out before surrendering, he said that the industry stood firmly behind Rajpal when they learnt the situation worsened. He added, “Everyone has made commitments, but such transactions don’t happen overnight. Mentally, the family has to remain strong. Rajpal Bhai himself is very strong, and that strength runs in the family." Expressing hope that Rajpal could be released soon, he said, "There are also several celebrations lined up at home, with family functions scheduled later in February. Everyone wants Rajpal Bhai to be out by then. Hopefully, he should be out by tomorrow.”

He added, “We have his bail hearing scheduled for tomorrow, and we are hopeful that he will be granted bail and released. The bail application has already been filed. We will be able to share more details after the hearing tomorrow.”

FWICE appeals to the industry

According to the latest update by ANI, FWICE has urged "all producers, directors, artists, technicians, associations, and well-wishers to extend their moral and financial support to help Shri Rajpal Yadav resolve his liabilities and regain his freedom, dignity, and peace of mind."

The statement read, "Members and well-wishers willing to offer monetary assistance may contribute directly to Shri Rajpal Yadav or route their support through FWICE. The Federation assures complete transparency, and any funds received will be responsibly consolidated and handed over to assist him in settling his dues at the earliest."
