The shooting of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Kurbaan was cancelled in Pune last month, following the swine flu scare. The film being directed by D'Silva will resume shooting in September, and the location has not been moved to Mumbai.

He says, "I was supposed to shoot at the Agricultural College and Pune University. That was a completely suitable set but I would have to wait for a month to go there and shoot. It is too long a period to wait, so I decided to shoot in Mumbai itself." The movie has little patchwork remaining and a big action sequence to be shot. He says, "The remaining patchwork is to be shot with Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Kirron Kher and Vivek Oberoi. The major plot of the movie i.e. the action sequence is also remaining. I have the Hollywood stuntman Spiro Razatos (of Vantage Point and Bad Boys II fame) for the action sequence." A Karan Johar production, Kurbaan has terrorism as its background. Kareena is paired with boyfriend Saif Ali Khan. It also stars Vivek Oberoi, Dia Mirza, Kirron Kher and Om Puri in principal roles.
