Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, finally hit the theatres on July 28. Ever since its release the movie has been getting rave reviews from both critics and moviegoers. The reports suggest ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ has effectively restored Bollywood's true blue commercial movie genre. Karan Johar and team are overjoyed with the film's early success, celebrated with a private party on Friday night.
The intimate party was held at Karan Johar’s residence. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt were seen coming to director Karan Johar's residence to celebrate the successful start of their film. Ranveer dressed down for the night in a white t-shirt, a black cap, and a face mask. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, arrived late to the party. The actress, who played Rani in the film, looked stunning in a white gown, dewy make-up, and simple hairstyle.

Interestingly, Deepika Padukone who was missing at both the special screening held by the makers, joined hubby Ranveer Singh and team ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ for the success bash. She was seen arriving separately at Karan Johar's apartment for the celebrations. The ‘Pathaan’ actress looked stunning in a floral-printed green gown and little make-up.
Karan also invited some of his close friends from the industry to the success party. ‘The Archies’ director Zoya Akhtar and ‘Brahmastra’ director Ayan Mukerji joined the team to celebrate the film's successful premiere. Ace fashion designer, Manish Malhotra, who created the costumes for the film, was also seen arriving at KJo's house for the event.
The family entertainer marked Karan Johar's return to the director’s chair after 7 years hiatus. Along with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, the film also stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles.
On the work front, apart from ‘Rocky aur Rani kii Prem Kahaani’ both Ranveer and Alia has interesting projects in their kitty. Ranveer Singh will once again collaborate with master craftsman Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the next historical drama ‘Baiju Bawra’. Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, is currently looking forward to her Hollywood debut with ‘Heart of Stone’.
