Their frequent public appearances have often left fans wondering if they are back together; however, they seem to share a relationship that defies labels.
Rohman Shawl celebrates anniversary with Sushmita Sen
On Monday, Rohman Shawl took to his Instagram feed and shared a cozy black-and-white picture with Sushmita Sen, marking their seven-year anniversary. In the photo, both are seen in matching outfits, with Sushmita’s face turned away from the camera. Rohman is seen holding the former Miss Universe and leaning on her.
Along with the picture, Rohman penned a heartfelt note expressing his admiration and love for Sushmita. He wrote, "Some stories outgrow their titles, but never their meaning".
He added, "I taught you chess, you now beat me without mercy. You taught me to swim- dragged a water-phobic soul into the deep end (emotionally and literally). And how can I not thank you for giving me the best haircuts. We swapped roles, fears, and strengths, And somewhere between checkmates and deep ends, we found a bond that outlived labels".
He concluded, "Not lovers, not strangers- something softer, rarer! You were once my safe place & somehow, still are!!!! Grateful for the love we had & the quiet friendship that stayed.”

Rohman on bond with Sushmita
In an earlier interview, Rohman opened up about why he is often spotted with the actress. He said, “I only accompany her as a friend. I like spending time with her. If the relationship didn’t have issues and if you have given so much to a relationship, then why would you run away from it? I am single right now, but because a big name of that stature has been associated with me, people think that I am still with her. So, nobody even approaches me (laughs). I totally believe in love and relationships. In fact, I like being in relationships that drive me.”
Sushmita was last seen in Taali: Bajaungi Nahi, Bajwaungi (2023) a biographical drama series directed by Ravi Jadhav. She also headlined Aarya season 3. While Rohman made his acting debut with the Tamil movie - Amaran. The film also featured Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, Bhuvan Arora and others in key roles.
