Actress Shriya Pilgaonkar, who played a pivotal role in the recently released Netflix show Mandala Murders, has been receiving overwhelming praise for her performance. But perhaps the most heartwarming reaction came from her parents- the veteran actors Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar.

Shriya's parents cheer loudest

A few days after the show’s premiere, Shriya took to Instagram to share a hilarious and adorable collage capturing her parents’ reaction to a still from the series. In the original image, Shriya is seen dressed in a red saree, adorned with jewelry, and giving a wide-eyed shocked expression. Right beside it, her parents are seen perfectly mimicking her pose with matching expressions.

In another picture, Sachin and Supriya can be seen making a heart symbol with their hands while watching their daughter onscreen.

Sharing the collage, Shriya captioned it, "This image right here... is everything."

Shriya reacts to love for her role in Mandala Murders

Speaking at an event in Delhi, Shriya expressed her gratitude for the positive feedback she’s been receiving for her role as Rukmani in Mandala Murders, which also stars Vaani Kapoor.

“Those who have watched Mandala Murders have given good reactions to my character in the series,” she told ANI. “The love given to ‘Rukmani’ — I’m so grateful for it.”

When asked about upcoming projects, she hinted at exploring more diverse roles in the future. “I’m focusing more on films now. People will get to know about it later,” she added.

Directed by Gopi Puthran and Manan Rawat, Mandala Murders is set in the eerie town of Charandaspur. The thriller follows two detectives as they unravel a chilling conspiracy involving ritualistic killings linked to an ancient secret society. The ensemble cast also includes Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Surveen Chawla, Siddhanth Kapoor, Rahul Bagga, Raghubir Yadav, and Monica Choudhary.

Sharing his experience directing the show, Gopi Puthran said, "From the start, our goal with Mandala Murders was to create a world that feels unknown yet grounded -- where every truth has layers and every answer leads to more questions. Crafting the tension, weaving in symbolism, and watching this brilliant cast bring it to life has been incredibly rewarding."

The show is the second series from Netflix and YRF's creative partnership, following The Railway Men in 2023.

The series is currently streaming on Netflix.
