Recently there was buzz that Salman Khan&rsquo;s production 'Hero' might have to wait for a release until Bajrangi Bhaijaan featuring the star hits the theatres. Our sources say it won&rsquo;t keep up with its July 3 date as the makers are eyeing a solo release.

Until now, it was supposed to clash with Subhash Kapoor&rsquo;s 'Guddu Rangeela', which now has no competition at the box office. Says a source, &ldquo;Apart from the desire for a solo release, the makers had to work on certain other aspects. They will now take the film to the theatres only in August or September.&rdquo;
While Hero&rsquo;s director Nikhil Advani remained unavailable for comment, a source close to him confirmed the buzz, adding: &ldquo;The new date has not been finalised yet.&rdquo;
Hero was earlier supposed to release on February 14, but was postponed as it would have been overshadowed by the cricket World Cup. It will be a remake of Jackie Shroff&rsquo;s 1983 starrer of the same name and mark the launch of star kids Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi.
Subhash is overjoyed about his film getting a solo release by default now.
&ldquo;With so many films releasing in a year, it&rsquo;s quite rare to get a solo release. I hope it is good for 'Guddu Rangeela', but I am more excited that my film is coming out soon,&rdquo; he says.
'Guddu Rangeela' features Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.
