Actress Sandeepa Dhar wants to reconnect with Lindy hop, and hopes to do it through a dance number in her forthcoming film Firrkie. Sandeepa, who has featured in Isi Life Mein, Dabangg 2 and Heropanti, will play a model in Firrkie, which also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Karan Singh Grover, Kay Kay Menon and Jackie Shroff.
"I love dancing, but I haven't really got the opportunity to showcase my dancing skills in the movies I've done so far," Sandeepa said in a statement. "Lindy hop is one of the most beautiful forms of creative look. It is a hip-hop tradition. It is part of my childhood and who I am. I want to reconnect with it," she added.
Sandeepa is a qualified Lindy hop dancer. She started learning the dance form at the age of 10. But didn't get time to practice it after entering showbiz.
