Agrees to shoot Ratnam's Azaan instead of finishing his own film

Santosh Sivan, who had decided he would not return to cinematography for any other filmmaker, has once again made an exception for Mani Ratnam, even at the cost of his own film.

Santosh was shooting for his own film, when Mani called and requested he do the cinematography for his next film, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Azaan. And there's no way Santosh would say no to Mani. Santosh has four days' shoot left of his own film, but he is readily giving it up to shoot for Mani. In fact, he even agreed to work on Raavan mid way of the shoot when Mani called him. Despite this, Santosh has no regrets, as he values his relationship with Mani
