Despite the Shiv Sena threatening to stop the release of My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan doesn't seem to be in any mood to back down from his stand. "I hope better sense prevails in Mumbai. We have worked really hard on the movie and we just want people to watch the movie," he said at a press conference in Abu Dhabi, where he has gone for the premiere of MNIK.

However, besides answering a couple of questions on the subject Shah Rukh largely steered clear of the controversy surrounding the release in Mumbai and chose to focus on the movie. "It's a special film for all of us and I thank Karan (Johar) and Kajol for the love and support," he said. On sharing the screen with Kajol, Shah Rukh said they have both matured as actors and respect each other. He also praised Kajol for retaining her freshness and earnestness that made her so popular when she arrived on the Bollywood scene in 1992.
