Ricky Martin seems to be following in Elton John and George Michael's footsteps. The singer recently came out of the closet saying that he was gay, and proud to be one. During the Livin' la Vida Loca era, Martin's personal life went under the microscope due to his large gay following, and he was questioned about his sexual orientation. In December 2000 during an interview he said. "I guess these rumours about me being gay were started by people who don't have a life, or perhaps it's because they want me to be like them and I'm not. It took him about a decade to realise his sexual orientation. &gt;&gt; Ricky turned down a part opposite Jennifer Lopez in the film West Side Story. &gt;&gt;u00a0He sponsors three children in India.
