For the better part of September, actor-couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been spotted with director Ayan Mukerji at press conferences and media events, promoting their labour of love Brahmastra: Part One — Shiva. The superhero drama is doing exceedingly well at the box office, thus giving Bollywood that elusive hit.

One hears that come October, Kapoor will move on to his next, Animal, helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. A source reveals, “Ranbir and Alia will continue to promote Brahmastra till late September. Given the encouraging box-office numbers, the team has drawn up an extensive post-release promotional plan that will help build more interest around the film. In the first week of October, Ranbir will start the Mumbai schedule of Animal with Anil Kapoor — the team’s second Mumbai stint after the spell in June. So far, the locations haven’t been locked, but the filming will take place in different pockets of the city, starting with Chembur.” The actioner, centred on a gangster family, also stars Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna.
