Ken Ghosh may have replaced Jiah Khan from his movie 'Chance Pe Dance' with Genelia D'Souza just 20 days after the shooting but the director hopes that his decision will not create any bad blood between them.

Ghosh initially shot with Jiah but he had to drop the actress from the project as the script went through considerable changes, forcing the director to look for a new face.

"Initially, the film was about the struggle of a dancer but when we saw the first draft we felt that romantic angle was important. We rewrote the entire track and the new characer that emerged was something that Jiah would not have been right for. It was of a very sweet and cute girl," Ghoshu00a0said in an interview.

But the director does not want to be a prisoner of the past, saying he would love to work with Jiah again. "If I have got a right script for Jiah I will 100 per cent approach her. We have not spoken after that because she got busy with 'Housefull' and I with 'Chance Pe Dance' but I won't think twice before approaching her and obviously it will be up to her to take it up. I hope there is no bad blood between us," he added.

The director, who shares a close friendship with his film's star Shahid Kapoor whom he launched with 'Ishq Vishq' in 2003, said working with the actor in 'Chance Pe Dance' was an entirely new experience.

"He is a very talented actor. He has grown immensely in the last few years. Seriously, working with Shahid in my three films was like working with three different actors. He has changed as a person also," Ghosh said.

Shahid, who is one of the best dancers in Bollywood, is playing the role of a struggling dancer trying to make it big in the showbiz in 'Chance Pe Dance', which is releasing on January 15. The story may sound similar to the actor's life but Ghosh insists that it is not autobiographical. "In a way, it is inspired by Shahid's life but it is not by any measure an autobiographical film. It is about a guy who comes to Bombay to become a hero and Shahid also always wanted to become a hero. He did not have a godfather in the industry. He has come up the hard way and the character in the film goes through a similar journey but the similarities end here," the director said.
Ghosh also denied that he was upset with Shahid during the making of the film because he was not able to give him enough time as he was shooting simultaneously for 'Kaminey' and 'Chance Pe Dance'.
