Soon after The Viral Fever founder Arunabh Kumar fell from fame for his apparent involvement in multiple sexual harassment cases against his employees, the company decided to defer the trailer launch of its show Bisht, Please, last week.
However, in spite of cases against Arunabh continuing to be on the rise, with a second complainant filing a case against him yesterday, TVF decided to go ahead with the release of the show, Bisht, Please, today.
A source from the company says, "It's a tough time for us, but we have to take our chances. Work cannot suffer. We had expected that the matters would die down. We are sure that all allegations against Arunabh are baseless. Now that cases have been filed, it's just about right to let the cops do their investigation."
Another source says the team arrived at the decision to go ahead with the release four days ago, owing to mounting pressure from sponsors. An e-commerce major, who is also undergoing testing times, is backing the project. An image consultant has apparently suggested that Arunabh's image be separated from that of the company.
"Bisht, Please is an intriguing show with great content. It will sell itself to the general public." Ironically, Nidhi Bisht-starrer Bisht, Please touches upon the topic of sexual harassment at the work place.
