The trailer of the upcoming action-packed drama War 2 was unveiled earlier today. The film that sees an intense action face-off between actor Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR is among the most awaited and hyped films of the year from the Yash Raj Films roster. The trailer also give us a glimpse into the character that Kiara Advani will be playing in the Ayan Mukerji directorial and we are happy to report that she is not just eye candy in the film.
Who is Kiara Advani playing in the film?
In War 2 trailer, Kiara is seen packing some punches and performing smooth action sequences. There is also a sequence where she is seen in an army uniform and receiving a medal for her service. So it has been established that she is also a soldier in the film, along with the lead male actors. But how does she fit into the War universe?
Turns out, she is the daughter of Colonel Luthra (played by Ashutosh Rana) in War and will be reprising role in the sequel as well. Kiara's character in the film is named Kavya Luthra, indicating that she is the daughter of Colonel Sunil Luthra, joint secretary of RAW.
What is the age gap between Hrithik and Kiara?
Hrithik and Kiara are shown to be romantic partners in the film. The two also share a passionate kiss in the trailer of the film. With age gaps of actors being in the limelight recently, we look at the age gap between the two actors. The two stars have an age gap of 18 years with Kiara being 33 years old while Hrithik is 51.

The over two-minute-long trailer begins with Hrithik vowing to be a “faceless shadow” and NTR vowing to be a “weapon”. Packed with adrenaline-rushing action scenes and powerful guns, the trailer doesn’t reveal much apart from the fact that the two are soldiers, who are at "war” as the country is first for them. Meanwhile, Tiger Shroff makes a special appearance through a photograph, as Hrithik’s character Kabir is seen reminiscing about him.

The trailer concludes with the famous Bhagavad Gita shloka "Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachana," which translates to "You have the right to work only, but never to its fruits".
The verse stresses the importance of performing one's duty without being attached to the results.
War 2 will be released in theatres on August 14, 2025.
