But director-composer Vishal Bhardwaj who accompanied him says, “We went to Lahore to record a song for Dedh Ishqiya. Gulzarsaab visited the grave of his mentor, eminent poet Ahmed Nadeem Qasimi, after that he visited his birthplace Dina in Pakistan after 70 years.
He was emotionally overwhelmed. He felt uncomfortable after reaching his hotel. So we cancelled his recording and decided to return. There is nothing political about it. We plan to visit Pakistan again for the recording as soon as Gulzarsaab feels better.”u00a0
